Painter Eve White creates abstract other worlds through her work – below, she shares her inspiration and a series of her incredible paintings.
Most of my early paintings visualize my attempt to see beyond the physical world by literally breaking it down. I paint to immerse myself in a a place where known forms and definitions seem to subside into an expansive intangible space. I am interested in Theosophy, mysticism, and the occult and recognize that I am part of a long tradition of artists attempting to use abstraction to manifest the sacred space that lies beyond our limited human perception. My paintings are not attempting to evoke this indescribable space, but rather represent my journey to it.
